A blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Syrah, the wine Vilosell is produced in the southwestern Catalan region of Costers del Segre.
The calling card of the Tomás Cusiné winery, this Spanish red wine is made from vines planted at an altitude of 750 metres above sea level in soils composed of gravel and sand.
Carefully harvested and selected, the grapes were macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Afterwards, the wine Vilosell 2021 was aged in new and 2nd year French oak barrels for over a period of 9 months. Before its bottling, this organic red wine was aged for 3 months in underground concrete diposits.
Aerate this red wine from Costers del Segre some time before drinking.

| Nose | This blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Syrah begins with some hints of smoke and dry earth, followed by notions of black fruit, spices, cocoa and toast. There is also a touch of red berries and rosy pepper. |
| Palate | Winemaker Tomás Cusiné has done a nice job here. Yummy forest fruit with a dash of vanilla, moka and cocoa, underpinned by underbush and garrigue. Good acidity, ripe tannins and a fresh, medium-long finish. |
| Our personal opinion | The wine Vilosell 2021 is round, well-balanced and flavourful. This organic red wine will nicely match a Beef and Vegetable Casserole. |
