Produced by Bodegas Lan, the wine Viña Lanciano Reserva is sourced from four parcels in Viña Lanciano, situated on the border between Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, in the heart of the DOCa Rioja.
Selected from 35-year-old vines, the Tempranillo and Graciano grapes were fermented in truncated cone-shaped stainless steel tanks, with a long maceration and frequent pump-overs aimed at extracting colour and tannin.
After that, this red wine from La Rioja was transferred into French oak barrels, where it went through malolactic fermentation and was aged for 17 months.
Then the red wine Viña Lanciano Reserva 2021 matured for a further 8 months in concrete tanks.
Finally, this Reserva red wine was kept for no less than 20 months in the bottle before being released onto the market.
