An Irish whiskey with a North-American soul.

“Live deliberately”: this is the – undoubtedly - catchy slogan chosen by the team of entrepeneurs who founded the Gortinore distillery in 2019. At the head is the Irishman Aidan Meghan, who launched the project with the aid of his father, the Scotsman Scott Moran and the American Jordan Via, a master distiller with a long and distinguished career in the whisky trade.

A very young project, the facilities of the Gortinore distillery are located in Waterford, the fifth city of Ireland by population. The brand produces the Natterjack whisky product range, hitherto comprised of two bottlings. The whisky is named after the only species of toad native to Ireland, whose image illustrates the labels of the whiskies of the Gortinore distillery.

In line with the cosmopolitan character of its founders, the Natterjack whisky made by Gortinore is crafted combining the traditions, ingredients and producing methods from both sides of the Atlantic, with the aim of creating a fusion of the best traits of Irish and American whisky.
