Aixalà Alcaït

Founded by Catalan winegrower Jordi Aixalà Jansana, bodega Aixalà Alcaït is a family winery that began operating in 2005. The red wine Pardelasses was its debut release.

All of the wines of bodega Aixalà Alcaït are sourced from estate vineyards with an organic certification on the outskirts of Torroja del Priorat, a historic village located in one of DOQ Priorat’s hottest areas.

A terroir-orientated project, the Aixalà Alcaït winery cultivates only traditional varieties from Priorat, most notably Carignan, the best suited to the extremely demanding climatic conditions of the area. The other red varieties are Grenache and Hairy Grenache, and the white varieties are White Grenache and Macabeo. All are planted in the typical llicorella soils from Priorat, which bring an exceptional concentration and intensity to the wines.

The portfolio of wines of bodega Aixalà Alcaït is comprised of six red wines, two white wines and one rosé wine. Impeccably made in a traditional style, the wines show a rugged authenticity and a genuine local character.
