Viña Sastre

Founded by Severiano Sastre as a local company, the commercial expansion of Bodega Viña Sastre began in 1992. It was undertook by Rafael, the son of the founder, with the aid of his own sons, Pedro and Jesús.

Currently, the winery owns 45 hectares of Tinta del País vineyards, with different sun orientations and soil compositions, in some key spots across the Ribera del Duero region. The family has always felt a deep connection to the land, and that feeling has influenced the company's whole agricultural approach, which nowadays increasingly features organic and biodynamic practices.

The facilities of Viña Sastre winery are built along the lines of French châteaus. All of the wines are aged in 225-litre French and American oak barrels.
