Made by the Bodegas Hermanos Sastre winery, this Spanish red wine is a top-notch varietal Tinta del País (Tempranillo).
The single vineyard wine Viña Sastre Pago de Santa Cruz is made from low-yielding 80-year-old grapevines planted in clay-limestone soils at an altitude over 800 metres above sea level.
Meticulously harvested, the grapes were selected at the vineyard and in the cellar. Then they were macerated for a short period of time and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, this Crianza red wine from Ribera del Duero was aged for 18 months in new American oak barrels. During the process, this Crianza red wine was racked four times.
Prior to its release, the red wine Viña Sastre Pago de Santa Cruz 2023 was stored for no less than 12 months in the cellar.
Be sure to decant this Ribera del Duero red wine at least 1 hour before you drink it.
