This is the Magnum bottling of Aalto PS (Pagos Seleccionados) of Bodegas Aalto, an already legendary Spanish red wine from DO Ribera del Duero crafted by Mariano García, one of Spain's most prestigious winemakers
It is sourced from two Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vineyards 60 to 90 years old, located in La Horra and Aguilera, in the province of Burgos.
The grapes were meticulously harvested by hand at dawn, sorted twice and fully destemmed. Then the best grapes fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.
The malolactic fermentation of this red wine from Ribera del Duero was carried out in new French oak barrels. After that, the wine Aalto PS 2022 Magnum was aged for 20 months in the barrels. It was bottled in September 2024.
This impressive Crianza red wine is produced only in exceptional vintages. It should evolve nicely in the bottle.
