Product Description
Details

The Champagne Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé is crafted blending a white wine with a small amount of red wine. This is the traditional way of producing a rosé Champagne.

A blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, the grapes come from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards situated near Épernay, AOC Champagne.

As with all the sparkling wines of Maison Alfred Gratien, the base wines of this NV rosé Champagne were fermented in 228-litre oak barrels. As a result, the wines have a particularly elegant and smooth character, and this while preserving their freshness.

Once blended, the rosé champagne Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé was bottled and aged for around 48 months in the cellar.

Vinous and substantial, this Brut reserve rosé Champagne will match perfectly with a full-course dinner.

Appearance

The Champagne Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé is pale pink with some orangeish reflections.

Nose

Complex and nuanced, this blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier is mineral and gently spicy, with aromas of red berries, lemon zest and flowers, a leesy remembrance and a touch of iodine and smoke.

Palate

This non-vintage rosé Champagne of Alfred Gratien is creamy and structured, with a gentle fizz and a lively mid-palate. Flavours of red fruit with a mineral undertone and a yeasty note of autolysis, leading up to a savoury, well balanced finish.

Our personal opinion

The champagne Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé is an excellent food rosé.
