Product Description
Details

Coming from DO Méntrida, Toledo, Arrayán Graciano is a single parcel varietal Spanish red wine produced by Bodegas Arrayán.

The Graciano grapes are sourced from organically farmed vines grafted in 2014 onto Merlot vines originally planted in 1999 in Finca La Verdosa, a vineyard with sandy soils at 500 metres of altitude.

Hand-picked and selected, the grapes were cold-soaked for 2 days in stainless steel tanks and then spontaneously fermented and macerated for 20 days.

Then  the red wine Arrayán Graciano 2019 was aged for 12 months in 225-litre French oak barrels.

After being bottled, this Crianza red wine was aged for a short period of time before hitting the market.

Pair this organic red wine from Méntrida with meat recipes, rice dishes, cold cuts and medium-aged cheese.

The red wine Arrayán Graciano is deep ruby with some reddish glints.

Nose

Loads of ripe black fruit, the defining trait of the Graciano variety, with a splash of liquorice, balsam and a dim note of spices.

Palate

This wine of Bodegas Arrayán has a noteworthy acidity and a lively character, with understated fruit, good tannic energy and bite and a long finish with a toasted and spicy aftertaste.

Our personal opinion

The red wine Arrayán Graciano 2019 is a most unusual Graciano from Méntrida. That alone makes it a wine worth discovering.
