The red wine Ausàs Interpretación aims to capture Xavier Ausàs's personal view of the Ribera del Duero region.
Few winemakers know the region better than Mr. Ausàs, who worked for several years as chief oenologist of bodega Vega Sicilia before embarking on his current project, Ausàs Bodegas y Viñedos.
This varietal Spanish red wine is produced from a patchwork of Tinto Fino (or Tempranillo) vineyards, with different types of soils and sun orientations.
Each parcel was separately vinified. This Crianza red wine was first cold macerated before going through alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and concrete diposits.
After that, the red wine Ausàs Interpretación 2021 was aged for 15 months in 225 and 500-litre French oak barrels, 30% new. It was bottled in May 2023.
It is important to decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero 1 hour before drinking.
37,000 bottles produced.
