The wine Balbás 18 Crianza is the mid-level Spanish red wine of Bodegas Balbás. The origins of this family-owned winery from DO Ribera del Duero go back to the late XVIIIth century.
This varietal Tinto Fino or Tempranillo comes from vines grown in clay and sandy soils at altitudes between 830 and 800 metres above sea level, in the La Horra area, Burgos.
Hand-picked and meticulously selected, the grapes were fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This red wine from Ribera del Duero was then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.
Finally, the red wine Balbás 18 Crianza 2021 was bottled and further aged for some months before its commercial release.
