Product Description
Details

The red wine Barcolobo Victoria is sourced from vineyards located in the “Riberas de Castronuño - Vega del Duero” Nature Reserve, a pristine environment sitting at 705 metres above sea level in the province of Valladolid.

Produced by the Barcolobo winery, this Spanish red wine with IGP Castilla y León is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are grown in poor soils composed mainly of sand.

Hand-harvested in mid October, the grapes were refrigerated, carefully selected on arriving at the premises, fully destemmed and cold-macerated for 5 days before each variety was separately fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then this red wine from Castilla y Lleón was inoculated yeasts to kickstart malolactic fermentation.

After completing the malo, the red wine Barcolobo Victoria 2017 was aged for 13 months in fine grain, medium-toasted American and French oak barrels (40% new, 60% 2 nd and 3 rd year), during which process it was racked 4 times.

It is advisable to decant this Crianza red wine before drinking.
