Crafted by the founder and current winemaker of Bodegas Beronia, Matías Callejo, Beronia Crianza is a great all-rounder from Rioja.
It is made from a blend of 94% Tempranillo, complemented with some Grenache and Mazuela (Carignan), coming from vineyards closely monitored by the winery.
This blended Spanish red wine was produced following the unmistakable "Beronia style", defined by a long maceration process.
During that operation, frequent pump-overs and punch-downs are performed in order to extract colour and aromas.
After that, Beronia Crianza 2019 was aged for 12 months in tanks and for another 12 months in combined oak barrels, the staves made of American oak, and the heads made of French oak.
Finally, this Rioja red wine was aged for 6 months in the bottle prior to its commercial release.
