Product Description
Details

This is the entry-level Spanish red wine of the famed Álvaro Palacios in DOQ Priorat.

A blend of local and international varieties, Camins del Priorat is made from Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carignan and Syrah. The grapes are sorted from 10 to 50-year-old vineyards scattered across the region.

Harvested by hand and selected in the vineyard and in the cellar, the grapes were gently crushed and then fermented in concrete vats, oak vats and stainless steel tanks. Afterwards this Crianza red wine was transferred into oak vats to complete malolactic fermentation.

Subsequently, while some of the wine remained in the wooden vats the rest of it was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for 6 months. Clarified with egg whites, Camins del Priorat 2022 was neither filtered nor stabilized prior to its bottling.

Aerate this red wine from Priorat 30 minutes before drinking.

This was entry-level priced some years ago. Not any more. Still an awfully nice wine though...

This is a must-have. Excellent gateway Priorat, en route to its wilder side. Palacios retains his magic touch.
