The flagship wine of the Castell del Remei winery, the wine Castell del Remei 1780 is produced in the western Catalan region of Costers del Segre.
Year after year, this top-notch Spanish red wine is produced along similar lines. The aim of the winery is to craft a product that combines drinkability, complexity and a nice ageing potential.
The 2019 vintage is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Grenache, all of them coming from estate vineyards certified organic.
Harvested at their optimal ripening point, the grapes were brought to the facilities in little boxes. They were fermented in stainless steel tanks, and then this red wine from Costers del Segre was aged in French and American oak barrels for 18 months.
Finally, the wine Castell del Remei 1780 2019 was aged for a minimum of 24 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
