This is the new vintage of the wine Chivite Legardeta Finca Villatuerta Chardonnay, produced by Bodegas Julián Chivite.
A varietal Chardonnay, this Spanish white wine comes from a single vineyard located in Tierra Estella, a subzone of DO Navarra. The vineyards are oriented to the north, and they receive the beneficial influence of an Atlantic-Continental climate which makes possible a slow, steady ripening of the grapes.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were selected upon arriving at the cellar. Macerated for a short time and gently pressed, a portion of the wine must was then transferred into French oak barrels and the rest into stainless steel tanks.
Both were fermented and aged on lees for 5 months. After that, the wine Chivite Legardeta Finca de Villatuerta Chardonnay 2024 was blended and bottled.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable white wine from Navarra.
