The Viñedos del Contino winery produces the wine Contino San Gregorio Blanco, aka Contino Blanco, from vineyards grown near the Ebro river.
This blended Spanish white wine from La Rioja is a blend of 80% Viura - sourced from three parcels: Lentisco, San Gregorio La Tabla and Finca Santa María, planted with 30 to 40-year-old vines - and 20% White Grenache, coming from Pago Las Anchas, a parcel planted with 40-year-old vines
After a manual harvest, the grapes were macerated with the skins, drawn-off, pressed and separately fermented in stainless steel tanks for about three weeks.
Once the process was completed, a 30% of this Crianza white wine was transferred into concrete diposits, and the rest went into new and used French oak barrels of different sizes. After that, the wine Contino San Gregorio Blanco 2022 was aged for 12 months on its lees.
This white wine from Rioja was bottled in Juy 2024.

| Palate | This white wine from Viñedos del Contino is richly textured and very pleasant. Remarkable balance, with flavours of curry, cedar and cinnamon over a layer of fruit compote, flowers, ripe limes and noisette butter. Excellent acidity and a long, delicately bitter finish. |
