Born in the DO Bierzo, the wine Corral del Obispo is a varietal Mencía made from 60 to 90-year-old, low-yielding vines located in the town of Valtuille (León).
The maceration and alcoholic fermentation of this Spanish red wine was carried out in wooden casks and steel tanks. After that, this red wine from El Bierzo by Viñedos Singulares was aged in 5,000-litre French oak vats for 6 months. It was bottled unfiltered.
Excellently priced, the wine Corral del Obispo 2022 is a perfect introduction to the Mencía variety.

| Nose | Intense and very pleasant, this Mencía from El Bierzo is full of juicy wild berries, accompanied by creamy notes over a balsamic and herbaceous background. There are also subtle touches of leather. |
| Palate | Smooth and silky, the fruit of this red wine from El Bierzo continues to be very present. Some liquorice, blueberries, and mineral overtones. Excellent acidity and crunchy tannins. The wine finishes quickly, but leaves a tasty aftertaste. |
