Produced by the Vall de Baldomar winery, the wine Cristiari d'Alòs is a varietal Merlot made from vines cultivated in the southwestern Catalan region of Costers del Segre.
This interesting Spanish red wine was vinified following an interesting procedure. After being harvested and destemmed, the grapes were crushed and the "free-run" juice was cooled before fermentation.
Once alcoholic fermentation was completed, this red wine from Costers del Segre was macerated for a short period of time. Then it was transferred into French oak barrels, where it underwent malolactic fermentation.
After that, the wine Cristiari d'Alòs 2023 was aged for 2 months in the barrels.
Pair it with cold cuts and aged cheese.
