The red wine D’Iatra is one the entry-level bottlings of bodega Cal Batllet from Gratallops, DOQ Priorat, a family winery run by Marc Ripoll Sans.
The main variety is Carignan (59%), complemented with 24% Grenache and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, all sourced from family-owned vineyards around 50 years of age.
This blended red wine from Priorat was traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks, with mild extractions, gentle pump-overs and a 30-day maceration. After that, the red wine D’Iatra 2019 was aged for 14 months in fine grain French oak barrels.
This blended Spanish red wine was stored in the cellar for some years before hitting the market.
Around 8,000 bottles produced.
