Made solely from Tinta del País (Tempranillo), Dominio Fournier Crianza is produced by bodega Dominio Fournier, the branch of the prestigious González Byass winery in Burgos, DO Ribera del Duero.
This varietal Spanish red wine was sourced from vineyards over 25 years old grown above 800 metres of altitude.
Hand-harvested at their optimal ripening state. the grapes went through two selection processes, one on site and the other upon receiving the grapes at the cellar. cellar. Each parcel separately vinified in stainless steel tanks and wooden vats. First, each bunch of grapes was cold-macerated with dry ice, after which it went through alcoholic fermentation, with daily pump-overs to boost colour and tannin extraction.
Then, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation with periodic stirrings of the lees.
Finally, Dominio Fournier Crianza 2019 was aged for 12 months in the barrels, after which it was blended and bottled.
