Bodega Finca Vegas, the project of the Weytjens family in beautiful Tenerife, proudly presents its top-shelf wine, The Golden Skins – Viñas Centenarias, a seriously small-batch wine made only in exceptional vintages.
A supreme expression of the indigenous Canarian variety Listán Blanco, this varietal Spanish white wine is sourced from centenary vineyards located the Vilaflor de Chasna lieu-dit, at 1,200 metres of altitude, in the heart of DO Abona (Tenerife).
After meticulously harvesting and sorting the grapes, this white wine from DO Abona was fermented with the skins, like an orange wine, manually performing daily punch-downs. After pressing and discarding the skins, the white wine Finca Vegas The Golden Skins – Viñas Centenarias 2018 was aged for 12 months in a Stockinger Austrian oak barrel.
Bottled in October 2019, this Crianza white wine was kept for a minimum of 4 years in the cellar before hitting the market.
