Produced by Finca Villacreces, the wine Finca Villacreces Pruno is made mostly from Tinto Fino (aka Tempranillo) grapes, nuanced with a 4% of Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2% of Merlot.
This well-known Spanish red wine is sorted from certified organic vines planted in sandy loam soils at an altitude of 710 metres, near the town of Quintanilla de Onésimo, in the heart of Ribera del Duero.
The grapes went through two selection processes, after which this vegan wine was vinified into stainless steel tanks, where it completed alcoholic and malolactic fermentation.
After that, the red wine Finca Villacreces Pruno 2023 was transferred into 2nd and 3rd year 75% French and 25% American oak barrels, where it was aged for 10 months. Finally, this Crianza red wine was clarified with egg whites and bottled.
A remarkable value, it is worth remembering that Robert Parker called this red wine from Ribera del Duero 'the all-time best Spanish wine under 20$.'
