Made by Bodegas Ostatu, the wine Gloria de Ostatu is one of the bottlngs of the "Vinos Singulares" collection, comprised of top-tier expressions of the winery's best terroirs.
This Spanish red wine is solely sourced from the oldest Tempranillo parcel of Bodega Otazu, called parcela Revillas. Located at 580 metres of altitude, this single vineyard is planted with over 80-year-old vines, which grow in very poor soils of clay, limestone and rocks.
The grapes were picked by hand and meticulously selected. Once in the cellar, the grape bunches were cold-macerated for several hours and fermented in stainless steel tanks with period punch-downs and pump-overs.
Then the red wine Gloria de Osatu 2019 was transferred into new French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 18 months.
