White wine from La Rioja. Blend of Viura and Tempranillo Blanco aged for 5 months in French oak barrels and concrete diposits.

The white wine Gómez Cruzado Blanco is made from a blend of the traditional DOCa Rioja varieties.
As usual, Viura takes the main part, complemented with 15% Tempranillo Blanco. The grapes are sourced from bushvines planted on limestone soils situated near Haro, and from vineyards with clay-iron soils situated in Alto Najerilla.
The grapes were hand-picked and selected on entering the cellar. Half-destemmed, they were gently pressed with a pneumatic press and then fermented in stainless steel tansk under controlled temperature.
After that, the white wine Gómez Cruzado Blanco 2023 was aged for 5 months on lees, some in French oak barrels and the rest in concrete diposits.
Pair this white wine from La Rioja with a nice cheese planter, oily fish recipes and white meat dishes.

Nose | This blend of Viura and Tempranillo Blanco carries aromas of sweet pear and ripe peach, with a hint of vanilla and some yeasty and smokey notes. |
Palate | Fruit and oak are nicely integrated in this wine of the Gómez Cruzado winery, with a gently creamy body, ripe white fruit, some citrusy and smokey sensations and a nice acidity to carry the wine. Transparent and very expressive. |
Our personal opinion | The wine Gómez Cruzado Blanco 2023 is an impressively well-balanced, elegant white Rioja. |
