One of the bottlings of the “Habla Números” series, which comprises the top-shelf wines of Bodegas Habla, the wine Habla Nº36 Syrah comes from VT Extremadura, a little-known but promising wine region in southwestern Spain.
A varietal Syrah, this Spanish red wine is sourced from vines around 25 years old, grown in slate soils and farmed following the guidelines of organic agriculture. The vineyards are located near Trujillo, a historic city famous for being the craddle of some of the most famous Spanish conquistadores.
The hand-picked grapes were selected on site and on arriving at the cellar. After fermenting and macerating in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control, the red wine Habla Nº36 Syrah 2022 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for a period of 12 months.
After that, this vegan red wine from Extremadura was bottled and aged for a further months before hitting the market.
Due to its remarkable depth and concentration, it is essential to decant this Crianza red wine at least 1 hour before drinking.
