The Herència Altés winery makes the wine Herència Altés Llunari from several plots of White Grenache situated between Batea and Gandesa, in the region of Terra Alta, southern Catalonia.
To make this organic and vegan white wine from Terra Alta, the grapes are harvested by hand. Once destemmed and trodden, the must and skins are cooled in concrete tanks, where they ferment and rest for approximately 20 days. Once pressed, the white wine Herència Altés Llunari 2023 was kept for 12 months in clay amphorae (70%) and used oak barrels (30%).
This interesting brisat wine - the Catalan equivalent of an orange wine- will pair well with pastas, ceviches and light dishes.
