L'Alleu Vinyes Velles 2023
A blend of old-vines Grenache (70%) and Carignan (30%), the wine L'Alleu Vinyes Velles is made by the Vendrell-Rived winery in DO Montsant.
The grapes were sorted from over 50-year-old, organically farmed vineyards with clayey-limestone and slate soils, both highly characteristic of the region.
Each variety was separately vinified. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration lasted from 20 to 30 days, after which this Spanish red wine was transferred into French oak barrels in order to complete malolactic fermentation.
Finally, the wine L'Alleu Vinyes Velles 2023 was aged for 12 months in those same barrels prior to its bottling.
We suggest that you decant this red wine from Montsant 30 minutes before you drink it.
