Produced solely from over 65-year-old Carignan vines, La Miloquera Carinyena Vella is a varietal Spanish red wine from bodega Vendrell-Rived.
Situated in the village of Marçà, in the heart of DO Montsant, the organically farmed vineyards are composed of clayey-limestone and slate soils.
Hand-harvested and meticulously selected, this Crianza red wine was vinified in stainless steel tanks for a period of 25 days.
Then the red wine La Miloquera Carinyena Vella 2021 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for 12 months.
This deep, terroir-bound red wine from Montsant will pair excellently with hearty meat recipes.
Decant at least 1 hour before drinking.

| Nose | Although still in a developing stage, this varietal Carignan already shows a remarkable complexity and nuance. Wild berries, bitter cocoa, Mediterranean herbs and black tea, with hints of clove and cinnamon and some earthy and mineral undertones. |
| Palate | Intricate and characterful, this wine of the Vendrell-Rived winery has an excellent definition and great potential for improvement in the bottle. Linear and very fresh, with sinewy tannins, a steely acidity and a smooth texture. Long finish with some berryish, spicy and mineral remembrances. |
