The family-run Vendrell-Rived winery produces the red wine La Miloquera Garnatxa Vella from a single parcel of low-yielding, over 90-year-old Grenache vines.
The parcel is called Finca Les Pedrenyeres, an organically farmed vineyard with sandy-clay and slate soils situated near the village of Marçà, in the heart of DO Montsant.
The grapes were hand-picked and carefully selected. Then this Spanish red wine was macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 days.
After that, the red wine La Miloquera Garnatxa Vella 2021 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
The production of this Crianza red wine is ridiculously low: only 250 bottles. Truly a collector's item!!
