An age-worthy Spanish red wine from Terra Alta, the wine L'Avi Arrufí is a tribute to the founder of the family winery Celler Piñol.
The main variety is Grenache, complemented with some Carignan and a 10% Syrah. The grapes are sourced from 45 to 55-year-old vines planted in in clay-limestone soils at 450 metres of altitude.
Each variety was harvested at its optimal ripening state and meticulously selected.
After that, this red wine from Terra Alta completed a traditional vinification process and was aged for a period of 16 months in new French and American oak barrels.
Before its commercial release, the wine L'Avi Arrufí 2021 was aged for a minimum of 2 years in the bottle.
Decant this Crianza red wine no less than 1 hour before drinking.
