The wine Les Brugueres Primera Vinya is the top-shelf white wine of bodega La Conreria d’Scala Dei. One of the most exquisite creations of winemaker Jordi Vidal, it comes from the very same site in which the incomparable winemaking tradition of Priorat was started, over 800 years ago, by a group of Carthusian monks coming from Provence.
Made solely from White Grenache, this white wine from Priorat is sourced from the first vineyard of the winery, Les Brugueres, at Corrals d'Scala Dei, 460 metres of altitude. The hand-picked grapes went through a very rigorous sorting process before macerating for 48 hours and fermenting with native yeasts in 400-litre French oak barrels.
Once the process was completed, the white wine Les Brugueres Primera Vinya 2022 was aged for 9 monts in the barrels. Bottled in late 2023, this Spanish white wine was aged for no less than 18 months in the cellar before hitting the market.
It is worth mentioning that some prominent international wine critics consider this Vi de Vila d'Escala Dei one of Spain's absolute best white wines.
