Bodega Sant Josep Vins, the wine brand of Cooperativa Agrícola Sant Josep from DO Terra Alta, in south-west Catalonia, is the producer of the wine Llàgrimes de Tardor Criança.
A blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Hairy Grenache this Spanish red wine is sourced from vines 30 years old on average, scattered across many plots on the outskirts of Bot, a village located in the province of Tarragona.
Each variety was separately vinified. First they were macerated and fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After that, the red wine Llàgrimes de Tardor Criança 2023 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for 12 months. This vegan certified wine was blended, clarified and filtered before bottling.
Finally, this red wine from Terra Alta was bottled and aged for 4 months minimum before being released onto the market.
