Losada Godello 2024
The wine Losada Godello is the only Spanish white wine produced by Bodega Losada Vinos de Finca.
Though it is indigenous to Galicia, the Godello variety is also present in DO Bierzo. There, it acquires a deeper, earthier character while preserving its trademark acidity. This is particularly the case when, as it happens with this white wine from El Bierzo, it is made from vines grown in slate soils.
As for the vinification process, the grapes were cold-macerated and fermented in stainless in steel tanks with its lees.
Then the wine Losada Godello 2024 was aged for 6 months in wooden vats and concrete eggs. It was stored for some months after being bottled.
As this wine shows, Godello is a many-sided grape variety.
