An excellent Cava, Mestres Coquet Gran Reserva Brut Nature is produced by Mestres, a wine producer based in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Penedès, since 1312.
Made from a blend of the three traditional Cava varieties, Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada, 40% of the grapes come from estate vineyards over 50 years of age, while the rest comes from 25-year-old vineyards.
Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. Then this Cava Gran Reserva Brut Nature completed secondary fermentation in the bottle, after which it was aged for a minimum period of 42 months.
No sugar was added to Mestres Coquet Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2018 after the disgorgement, the date of which is printed on the back label.
