A modern-style Rioja, the wine Orben is made by Bodegas Orben, a brand of grupo Artevino (owner of Bodegas Vetus, Bodega Izadi and Finca Villacreces.)
Made solely from Tempranillo, this varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from a callection of small parcels with sandy-limestone soils planted between 1945 and 1954 in the heart of La Rioja Alavesa.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were meticulously selected, partially destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Malolactic fermentation was carried out in tanks and new French oak barrels. After that, the wine Orben 2021 was aged for 12 months in new and 2nd year French oak barrels (50/50).
Finally, this red wine from La Rioja was clarified, filtered and stored for no less than 12 months after bottling.
Aerate this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.

less oak is ok
New-style Rioja. I found this less oaky and more fruit-driven than usual. Cool label. Very good.

Sense títol
very nice wine but I personally don't buy expensive wine as there are many good wine's for half the price. This was a gift of 6 bottles and I am on my first glass of the first bottle. It does pack a punch and will be excellent with red meat. Slante'!
