Product Description
Details

A blend of Grenache and Carignan, Pam de Nas comes from old vines planted in steep slate slopes near the village of Gratallops, in the heart of beautiful Priorat.

Manually harvested and meticulously selected, the grapes were destemmed, macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 20 days. After that, this Spanish red wine underwent malolactic fermentation in 50% new and 50% used French oak barrels.

Then this Crianza red wine from bodega Trossos del Priorat was aged in those same barrels for 12 months. Finally, Pam de Nas 2018 spent a further 20 months in the bottle before its commercial release.

Produced only in excellent vintages, this red wine from Priorat has a nice ageing potential.

Decant a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.

Appearance

The red wine Pam de Nas is deep violet with a garnet rim.

Nose

Complex, enticing notes of underbrush, ripe wild berries, cocoa powder and blue flowers, enlivened by deep, spellbinding mineral echoes and suggestions of spices, menthol and smoke, Priorat's trademark. The nose of this blend of Grenache and Carignan is ever-changing and seductive.

Palate

Earthy, deep and intriguingly fresh. Ripe fruit, liquorice, cocoa and Eastern spices, wrapped in delightful mineral remembrances. This wine of Trossos del Priorat has a remarkable acidity and long, superb finish -and despite all that, it is still in the making.

Our personal opinion

Rare and exquisite, Pam de Nas 2018 is a red wine from Priorat that conveys mistery and depth.

Spellbinding wine
Value
This is a fabulously intense and expressive Priorato that will leave you speechless - provided, of course, that you decant the wine for a long time. It will grow in the bottle for a good 6 years.
