Pegaso Granito 2021
The wine Pegaso Granito is the most elegant Garnacha de Gredos of famed winemaker Telmo Rodríguez’s product portfolio.
This varietal Grenache is sourced from old bush vines planted at 800 to 1,000 metres above sea level in the lieu dits El Robledillo and El Mojón, near Cebreros, DO Cebreros, Ávila. The vineyards are farmed following traditional and organic farming techniques.
The hand-picked grapes were fully destemmed before fermenting with native yeasts. After that, this red wine from DO Cebreros was aged for 18 months in 500 and 600 litres in French oak barrels. Bottled in April 2023, the red wine Pegaso Granito 2021 was aged for months in the cellar before hitting the market.
