Product Description

Produced by La Vinyeta, this Spanish red wine comes from the northern Catalan region of L'Empordà. Made from estate-owned vineyards, Puntiapart is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Samsó (Carignan).

Constantly swept by the Tramuntana, a relentless northern wind, the old vines were harvested by hand, and then the grapes were gently pressed and cold-macerated for some days.

After completing fermentation, Puntiapart 2019 was aged for 12 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels.

Pair this flavourful red wine from L'Empordà with meat recipes and cold cuts.

It is advisable to decant this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.

The red wine Puntiapart is deep purple with a garnet rim.


Beginning with a intensely mineral note, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Samsó soon exhibits aromas of of ripe fruit, extremely lively and almost jammy, underpinned by a deep earthy background and some aromas of clove and cinnamon, with hints of flowers and Mediterranean garrigue.


Fresh and yummy, this Empordà red wine of La Vinyeta has a smooth texture and some mild tannins. Cocoa, violets, some earthy and mineral notions, and notes of balsam and spices. Good acidity and long, complex finish with a suggestion of menthol.

Our personal opinion

Well-defined and elegant, Puntiapart 2019 is a very nice value.

I drink this in the wonderful city of Girona, in a cozy restaurant right in the old Jewish quarter. The drink perfectly matched the romantic setting.

La Vinyeta winery is on the top of my list when speaking of Emporda. This blend works very well, and it will improve over the next 4 years.
