Several things make Raventós i Blanc Textures de Pedra a one-of-a-kind wine. Produced in Conca de l'Anoia, a region in Alt Penedès, this Blanc de Noirs is made from a unique combination of grape varieties.
Indeed, this Spanish sparkling wine of the Raventós i Blanc winery is a blend of 50% Xarel·lo Vermell (Red Xarel·lo), a pink-skinned mutation of the Xarel·lo variety, 25% Bastard Negre, a little-known native variety related to Bastardo Nero from Sardinia and to the Graciano variety from La Rioja, and 25% Sumoll, a high-acidic, Nebbiolo-like grape.
All of the grapes come from a single vineyard, Vinya Més Alta, composed of sandy-limestone soils and planted with vines 20 to 50 years old, respectfully grown following the guidelines of organic and biodynamic farming.
Harvested by hand, the grape bunches were delicately pressed and drawn-off at a low temperature. Each variety and each individual plot were fermented separately in stainless steel tanks for a period of 9 to 15 days.
After that, Raventós i Blanc Textures de Pedra 2019 was bottled. Once secondary fermentation was completed, this Blanc de Noirs was aged for a minimum of 48 months in the bottle before its commercial release.

Palate | This sparkling wine from Raventós i Blanc has grip, definition and texture. Smooth mousse and great freshness, with a mineral-saline note, a citrusy tip and a long, complex finish with a mineral and herbal tip. Utterly compelling. |
