Ruinart Brut Rosé is a French champagne that has been crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The Chardonnay grapes were cultivated at the Côte des Blancs vineyards of the Reims Mountain and the Pinot Noir were cultivated between the Reims Mountain and the Marne valley. The grapevines selected to cultivate these grapes were classified at “Premiers Crus” (first growths). Of the coupage of this rosé champagne, 20-25% was crafted from wine bases from the past two vintages. Furthermore, 18-19% of the Premiers Crus Pinot Noir grapes received a short maceration to extract lite pigmentation from the red grapes skin providing for this champagne´s rosy color. The wine bases used in this champagne received their alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. Ruinart Brut Rosé was aged in its bottle in the “crayères” caves underneath the Ruinart House of Champagne and there was 9 grams of sugar per liter added after its disgorgement (the liqueur de triage added during its disgorgement).
|Appearance||Ruinart Brut Rosé of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is a clean and lively champagne with an attractive salmon pink colored body that casts orange toned reflections. This champagne has a persistent rosary of effervescence which forms vivacious and persistent columns of fine bubbles.|
|Nose||Tremendous aromatic expressions of well-defined fruits and wild red berries (raspberries, cherries, and strawberries) along with a handful of floral aromatics and some surprising exotic fruit sensations of citruses and herbs. There are aromatic from this champagnes ageing process which present clearly defined subtle tastes, fine pastries, creamy oaks, and some minerals. All things considered, Ruinart rosé brut champagne has excellent aromatic expressions.|
|Palate||A blunt entrance onto the palate that is full-bodied and well-rounded with great persistency. There are new and dominating red fruit aromas leaving tremendous freshness on this palate while remaining elegant and subtle. As this champagne´s effervescence melt in the mouth its fine carbon presents extraordinary creaminess that is nuanced until the finish. This is a bold finish that maintains its freshness and is marked by pleasant herbal and citric notes. All things considered this is a very well-structured rosé champagne.|
