Produced by the prestigious Scala Dei winery in the historical craddle of DOQ Priorat, the red wine Scala Dei Cartoixa is an exquisite, characterful blend of Grenache and Carignan.
The grapes are sourced from vineyards 65 years old on average, located between 400 and 800 metres of altitude.
Each variety and each individual plot was hand-harvested and individually vinified in concrete diposits. After a 21-day maceration, this Spanish red wine was fermented under controlled temperature.
After that, the red wine Scala Dei Cartoixa 2019 was aged for 18 months in French oak vats, French oak barrels and concrete diposits.
It is importatn to decant this Priorat red wine at least 1 hour before drinking.
Pair this Crianza red wine with game dishes, Thanksgiving roasts and casseroles.
