Details

Produced by Bodegas Numanthia, the wine Termes is a terroir-bound Spanish red wine from DO Toro.

A varietal Tinta de Toro, the grapes are sourced from low-yielding, 30 to 50-year-old vineyards sitting at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level.

Meticulously harvested and selected, the grapes were destemmed and fermented for 7 days with with 2 daily pump-overs.

After that, the wine Termes 2020 was macerated with the skins for 21 days. Then it was aged for 16 months in 20% new and 80% 2nd year French oak barrels. During the process, it was drawn off every 4 months.

Finally, this red wine from Toro was bottled and aged for a further months before hitting the market.

This Crianza red wine should be decanted 1 hour before drinking.

Fresh, juicy aromas of redcurrants, cherries and raspberries, combined with notes of lavender, undergrowth, dry earth and violets. In the background, this varietal Tinta de Toro insinuates some mineral undertones and touches of spices, aromatic herbs and eucalyptus.

Elegant and powerful, with a muscular body and not a hint of flabbiness. Spices, blue flowers, blackcurrants, smoke, underbush and mineral suggestions. This wine from Bodega Numanthia has a vibrant acidity, delicious tannins and a long, balsamic finish.

It's terrific!! The concentration is lightened by a yummy acidity and some chewy tannins. Pleasurable until the end.
