The wine Trasnocho is a prime example of a Rioja red wine made in a New World style.
The blend consists of 90% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano, and 5% Malvasía & Viura, sourced from the very best vineyards of the prestigious Remírez de Ganuza winery.
Selected both in the vineyard and in the cellar, all of the grapes come from low-yielding, over 60-year-old vines.
This exceptional Spanish red wine from La Rioja was first cold-macerated at a temperature of 4-6ºC for 24 hours in specially designed tanks. After that, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Then this Reserva red wine was transferred into French oak barrels, where it went through malolactic fermentation and was subsequently aged for a period of 20 months..
We suggest that you decant the red wine Trasnocho 2016 some time before drinking.
Production around 9,000 bottles per year.
