Product Description
Details

This is the new vintage of the wine Trossos Sants, a very interesting Spanish white wine produced by Alfredo Arribas.

A varietal White Grenache, the grapes were sorted from several two vineyards (trossos) of low-yielding, 40 to 60-year-old vines located in Montsant.

Harvested by hand in little boxes, once in the cellar the grapes were partially destemmed, crushed and drawn-off. After that, this Crianza white wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 15 days.

After that, the wine Trossos Sants 2021 was aged for 5 months, one third in big oak vats and the rest in stainless steel tanks.

We suggest that you aerate this Montsant white wine some time before drinking.

Appearance

The white wine Trossos Sants is pale yellow with some waxy tinges.

Nose

This varietal White Grenache from Montsant is complex and ever-evolving. Aromas of nuts, almonds and underbrush, nuanced by hints of white flowers, pineapple and citrus over a deep mineral background.

Palate Quite complex, though still in the developing stage, this wine from Alfredo Arribas is fresh, textured and energetic. Long finish with some smokey and bitter remembrances.

Our personal opinion

White Grenache is definitely an underrated variety. If you want to know why, just try the wine Trossos Sants 2021.

Arribas' wines are among the most elegant, Atlantic-like in Priorat. He knows how to use oak and does not overextract. This garnacha blanca is superb!
