Produced by Bodegas Trus, a brand of Bodegas Palacios Vinos de Finca, the wine Trus Reserva is born in the heart of DO Ribera del Duero.
This varietal Spanish red wine made from Tempranillo is sourced from the oldest estate vineyards, with limestone soils and very low levels of organic matter.
Hand-harvested and meticulously selected, once in the cellar the grape bunches were destemmed and crushed before being fermented in stainless steel tanks, with daily pump-overs. Before going through malolactic fermentation in the tanks, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was racked twice.
After that, the wine Trus Reserva 2018 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for 12 months. Gently filtered before being bottled, it was aged for a further 24 months before hitting the market.
This varietal Reserva red wine should have a nice evolution in the bottle.
Pair this red wine from Ribera del Duero with hearty dishes.
Decant at least 40 minutes before drinking.
