Tequila Volcán de mi Tierra Blanco
Availability: In stock
Produced by the Volcán de mi Tierra distillery, a branch of the French luxury conglomerate Louis Vitton Moët Hennesy, the tequila Volcán de mi Tierra Blanco is produced from blue weber agave sourced from Altos and Valles, the two main growing regions of Jalisco, the mecca of blue agave.
This tequila blanco (aka silver tequila or tequila plata) was produced in a very meticulous manner. The agave piñas coming from Valles were cooked in traditional brick ovens, crushed in stone mills and fermented in wooden tanks with native yeasts (20%) and in stainless steel tanks with Champagne yeasts (80%). The agave from Altos was cooked in autoclave ovens and then fermented with rum yeasts. After that, this tequila from México was distilled twice.
Impeccably transparent, the tequila Volcán de mi Tierra Blanco has an exquisitely nuanced nose, with aromas of ripe peaches and pears, flowers and wild herbs over a volcanic and berryish background. The palate feels amazingly fresh and pure, with spicy notes of white pepper, cedar and cardamom, and a long, citrusy, gently mineral finish.
