Vermutería Padró & Co.

Traditional vermouth from Tarragona.
Located in the village of Bràfim (Tarragona), the origins of Vermutería Padró & Co. go back to 1886, when Daniel Padró Porta and her spouse Rosa Valldosera, the first generation of the Padró winemaking family, sold wines and liqueur wines made in a small distillery equipped for making spirits and anise wines.
The following generations expanded the company, built the current headquarters of Vermutería Padró & Co. and added several buildings and warehouses. They also decided to focus on the production of wine and dry and sweet liqueurs, which were sold in bulk until 1960. Nowadays, the Padró winery is run by the fifth generation of the family, which, besides diversifying the product portfolio of vermuts Padró, has made a significant investment in storage space and winemaking machinery to keep up with the times and boost the growth of the company.
The Padró vermouth is made following the tradition of the vermouth from Tarragona, known and appreciated by aficionados both in Spain and abroad. Made from local varieties, the base wine is aged in oak barrels and subsequently macerated with a selection of locally sourced botanical ingredients. After that, the wines are typically blended with fortified and liqueur wines, resulting in red vermouths, golden vermouths and white vermouths with a unique Mediterranean personality.
