The distillery Vermutería Padró & Co., a fine producer of vermouth from Tarragona, presents Vermouth Padró & Co. Reserva Especial, which gives a new and sophisticated twist to traditional vermouth.

This Spanish vermouth is made from a blend of an old solera wine and a sweet wine, locally known as “Tarragona Clásico” and similar to Port and Sauternes. After being matured for 5 years in 7,000-litre oak vats, this Reserva vermouth was infused with botanical ingredients and aged for a further 18 months in ex-Sherry barrels.

Amber coloured, this Reserva vermouth from Tarragona has an intense and complex nose of toasted nuts, green almonds, old wood, spices and fine tobacco. On the palate, the Vermouth Padró & Co. Reserva Especial balances the alcohol content with a nice acidity, some medicinal notes and a subtly bitter suggestion, ending with some spice and liquorice.
