A blend of Tempranillo (85%), Graciano (10%) and Grenache, this Spanish red wine was sourced from vineyards situated in Albelda, San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Alto del Najerilla.
The hand-harvested grapes were fermented and macerated in Allier oak vats for 35 days in total, with 3 daily pump-overs. After that, the red wine 200 Monges Reserva 2014 was aged for no less than 20 months in new French and American oak barrels, with periodic rack-and-returns.
Bottled unfiltered, this red wine from La Rioja was stored in the cellar for several years before hitting the shelves.
It is important to aerate this Reserva red wine 1 hour before drinking.
